Course description:
This two-day hands-on course offers the most comprehensive, practice changing, esthetically driven hands-on training using composite based restorations offered to Pediatric Dentists. The Bioclear Method uses warmed composite with the injection molding technique into clear, anatomical tooth form matrices.
This is a one-of-a-kind course designed specifically for Pediatric Dentists or General Dentists who treat children in their scope of practice. The goal of this course is to allow all participants to return to patient care the following week with an entirely new skill set restoring anterior or posterior teeth in the primary and permanent dentition.
Learning Objectives:
DAY 1
- Transitioning from GV Black to Clark Class II non-retentive preparations designed specifically for composite
- Predictable and esthetic class II restorations that mimic natural teeth
- Treatment of severely hypoplastic/carious molars without stainless steel crowns
- Proper removal of biofilm for predictable sealants and composite restorations
- Quadrant strategy for multiple posterior class II restorations in permanent teeth
DAY 2
- Class III restorations in primary and permanent teeth
- Class IV fracture repairs that ensconce the tooth in composite (minimizing re-fracturing and maximizing esthetics)
- Restoration of Peg laterals
- Treatment planning tooth size discrepancies pre and post ortho (including post-Invisalign black triangles.)
- Dental photography-transition from an intraoral camera to using a DSLR for high-esthetic shots
- Electronically controlled, intraosseous local anesthesia administration (NEW)
