Real-life Endodontics: Everything You Didn't Learn in Dental School but Need to Know Now

9:00am - 4:00pm | 6 CE Hours

Real-Life Endodontics

Root canal therapy is one of the most commonly performed procedures in general dentistry—yet many clinicians feel underprepared for the real-world challenges that arise outside the classroom.

This comprehensive 6-hour continuing education course focuses on practical endodontic techniques that improve efficiency, predictability, and clinical outcomes.

Through real clinical cases, radiographs, and step-by-step protocols, participants will learn how to diagnose pulpal disease more accurately, locate hidden canals, manage calcified anatomy, prevent procedural errors, and deliver predictable obturation.

Topics include:

• Identifying missed canals and complex anatomy
• Access design that improves success rates
• Managing calcified and curved canals
• Irrigation protocols that maximize disinfection
• Preventing instrument separation
• Managing endodontic complications
• Case selection and referral decisions

This course is designed specifically for general dentists who want to perform endodontics more confidently and efficiently in daily practice. Feel free to bring your questions and case conundrums (with radiographs, etc.) to help trouble-shoot during the Q&A.

At the end of the presentation participants will :

  • Diagnose endodontic conditions with greater confidence.
  • Identify complex root canal anatomy and common missed canals.
  • Apply predictable access and canal location techniques.
  • Manage calcified canals and difficult anatomy.
  • Prevent and manage endodontic complications.
  • Improve irrigation and disinfection protocols.
  • Select appropriate obturation techniques.
  • Decide when to treat, retreat, or refer.
  • Ask targeted, specific questions and get answers
  • Improve communication skills about endodontics with your specialists and patients.

Of note, this is NOT a hands-on course, but it would be a great supplement to those who have completed a hands-on course and/or do a good amount of endo, but still experience some hiccups and seek more predictability in endodontics.  Demonstrations will be included.
