Course Description:
This presentation will discuss clinical cases where deep caries, or pulp exposures could be predictably treated without the need for endodontic treatment. Attendees will use bioactive materials in the hands-on part of the course.
In cases where endodontic treatment is indicated, this course will review case selection and diagnosis, proper anesthesia techniques and rubber dam isolation. Attendees will use the microscope in canal identification, and use rotary instruments for canal shaping and obturation.
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe how to treat deep caries without endodontic treatment.
- Recognize the importance of using bioactive materials.
- Appreciate the importance of using a microscope in restorative and endodontic treatment.
- Understand protocols of using rotary instruments for endodontic treatment.
