Time: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day

 

Schedule

 

8am to Noon: The ABCs of Dental Radiology Simplified: This four-hour hands-on wet lab will cover easy techniques to get diagnostic dental radiographs efficiently, with an emphasis on strategies for troubleshooting and challenging to get images in both the dog and cat.

12:00-1:00 pm: Lunch Provided by Enova

1:00-1:50 pm: The C.O.R.E. Dental Procedure: This lecture not only covers what is involved with the C.O.R.E. dental procedure but, most importantly, how we schedule procedures and bring value to what we are doing.

2:00-2:50 pm: Feline Dental Concerns-The Top Five: This lecture highlights how important it is for veterinary professionals to understand how dental diseases affect cats and how to recognize them.

3:00-3:50 pm: “Oh My Nerves” Regional Dental Anesthesia: This lecture covers the most commonly performed regional dental blocks in dogs and cats. Discussions of drugs, doses, indications, and potential complications will be provided. Videos will demonstrate how to do blocks.

4:00-5:00 pm: Instrument Sharpening Hands-On Workshop: This hands-on lab will teach you how to identify and sharpen commonly used oral surgery and periodontal instruments. You will get to take the sharpening stones home with you! (Bring instruments, you wish to sharpen)
